内藤先生は、KWF極真ヨーロッパ大会・マスターズの
日本代表にも選ばれ、心技体ともに最も充実していますね。

７年前、51才で当道場の門を叩いたシライさんが
黒帯の昇段審査にチャレンジ。

試練の１０人組手では、
相手をした茶帯・黒帯の激しい攻撃に
身体はふらつき、手足は鉛のように重く、
思うように動けなくとも、気持ちは前に、前に!
最後までやり抜き、当道場最高齢58才での黒帯となりました。

始めるのに遅いなんてない、
そして、いくつになっても、あきらめなければ
黒帯になることは可能である。
それらを背中で語ってくれたシライさんの姿は
後に続くオヤジ軍団、そして若者たちの目にも、
熱く焼きついたことと思います。

これからの一般部も、ますます熱くなりそうですね。
シライさん、おめでとうございます!!

【A 58 year old’s challenge up against the black belt】

7 years ago, Mr.Shirai knocked on or Dojo doors
and began his Karate journey.
Today he took on the black belt advancement test.
His opponents were brown belt and black belt holders.
Their attacks were so aggressive that he felt
his body weakly sway and become heavy
as if he had chains around himself,
but it did not put out his spirit!
He pushed through and successfully
attained the black belt!
Mr. Shirai is proof that it’s never too late
to start and if you never give up,
the black belt is achievable.
The other old men crew and young students saw
with their eyes this day and it is sure
to add more excitement to the General Group.
Congratulations Mr.Shirai!
