We worked on our positioning and postures
that will help exert an effective
attack against the opponent.
We also worked on understanding the

先日、当道場最高齢58才での昇段を果たしたシライさん
初めて黒帯を締めての稽古姿は凛々しいですね。
この日もバリバリ元気に動いていました。
正に”鉄人”です!!
The other day Mr.Shirai, the most senior at our Dojo,
passed the black belt test and showed up
to practice with his new belt looking quite valiant!
His movements were energetic as always.
He is truly an ironman!

9/26(火)一般部稽古
ミットはコンビネーションの打ち込み。
対人練習では、通常の組手よりも
もう一歩近い間合いでのテクニックを練習しました。
日曜日の試合では、この距離で闘うことも
多くなりそうなので、自分の距離以外での動きも
シュミレーションしておきましょう
【Getting Closer】
9/26 (Tues.) General Group Practice
For mitt rounds we focused on combination offenses.
During one on one, they shrank their distance between each other,
about a step closer than the usual Kumite,
and worked on their techniques.
In anticipation that they may have to fight
with more proximity to their opponent at Sunday’s tournament,
they practiced fighting outside their familiar distances.

and she’s already surprising us with powerful
attacks and a strong core – a rookie
we look forward seeing her growth.

energetic than usual as well,
as they have tournaments this week

一般部木曜クラスに、そら先生がやってきました
ミット練習では、得意な足技の中の１つ
後ろ蹴りを、みんなに指導。
このクラスは、女子の学生たちも多く、
そら先生と初めて会う子もいて喜んでいましたね!
Here comes Sora Sensei!!
On Thursday, Sora Sensei joined the General Group class.
She demonstrated her famous back leg kick to everyone
during the mitt practice. Since there are lots of girls in this class,
amongst them first timers to meet her, they were all very delighted!

昨日は東京に転勤されたKさんが久々に稽古に来ました
Kさんが来ると言うことで、オヤジ軍団も集結
出稽古のNさんも来られて熱い稽古になりました!
しっかり汗を流した後は、みんなで夕食に
稽古もそうですが、こうした宴会でも
熱きメンバーが集まると
時間があっという間に過ぎていきますね
ますます燃える天志オヤジ軍団
チャレンジカップでのパワフルな闘いも楽しみですね!!
【Tenshi Dojo’s Fierce Men’s Crew Gathering!!】
Last night we had a guest from Tokyo…. Mr. K!
He was transferred to Tokyo for work.
The men’s crew got together to have a mini reunion.
We even had Mr. N join us from another Dojo!
After much sweat we had dinner….
When this fiery crew gathers, practices
feel short and even off the mats it also feels as short.
Tenshi Dojo’s fiery men’s crew is even burning brighter…
I’m looking forward to seeing some very powerful
duels at the Challenge Cup!!
