In order to avoid the opponent’s attack,
we practiced how to quickly set up an attack from
a momentary back step or a defensive move.
It is not the same as fully receiving the opponent’s attack.
When an attack is dodged or avoided,
one can lose their balance and there’s a time loss
while setting oneself up again. This practice is about
knowing that moment when the opponent’s attack comes
and quickly switching to your offense.
The 20th of this month marks our silver wedding anniversary.
My family and I went out for an early celebration.
I am thankful to have been blessed
with a wonderful wife and my three children.
